When I retired from Active Duty in June 2024 and stepped into my new role as an Air Force JROTC Instructor in Atlanta, Georgia, I knew I was entering a season of major transition…personally, professionally, and financially. I poured into my students as a leader, mentor, and example, while quietly trying to figure out what life beyond the uniform would look like. Through Hiring Our Heroes and FourBlock, I began to rediscover my confidence and direction, and that clarity gave me the courage to take a huge leap of faith: applying for federal positions and ultimately accepting a role as Equal Opportunity Director at Travis AFB in California. That decision meant a cross‑country move (2,519 miles from the South to Sacramento) and the very real challenge of buying a home in a completely new, high‑cost market. God ordered my steps and used people to open doors. My Sorors of Delta Sigma Theta first connected me to an incredible realtor, Kee Mathews, who immediately became both advocate and guide in this process.
